Home Inspections

We perform home inspections following the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standards of Practice.

Bank Owned/Forclosed Home Inspections

This is the most common inspection that we perform. The history of the home isn't normally known. An abandoned home can have many defects due to neglect and/or abuse. The emphasis isn't on the cosemetics as much as the systems/structure of the home. The majority of the time the home is in major need of cosemetic repair.

New Home Walk-Throughs

In addition to a regular home inspection, the inspector will educate the buyer how to use and maintain the home. Even though cosmetics are not part of a home inspection, the inspector will assist the buyer in identifying cosmetic issues.

One Year Inspections

This inspection is basically the same as the new home walk-through, but cosmetic issues are not normally addressed.

Radon Testing

We perform radon testing according to EPA/NEHA protocols with electronic Continuous Reading Monitors (CRMs).

The Home Inspection

- Each home inspection is delivered on-site. The report is created on a laptop computer and printed with an ink jet printer.

- Digital pictures are taken during the home inspection. The pictures are transferred to a CD and included with the on-site report.

- The client's report includes a home maintenance manual.

- An additional copy of the report and pictures are provided for the real estate agent representing the client, if one exists.

- The plumbing valves are identified and labled for the client's convienience.

- Recently recalled appliances are identified.
